Nuclear Power is Bad

Posted in Arkansas, Environment at 2:03 am by Radical Red

Mox, The Fukushima Word of the Day and Why it is Bad News

Serious Danger of a Full Core Meltdown

Years ago I went to visit a Quaker College. I had a girlfriend who went to the college, and I was visiting. She asked me to attend her social policy class. I went. And, I had to speak up.

They were discussing a writer (I don’t remember his name) who stated that any government that uses nuclear power does not care about the people. There were several people in the room who disagreed. I didn’t want to speak up, but I had to.

I started telling them about the long term effects and dangers of using nuclear power. I recommended they read the book, “Toxic Sludge is Good For You: Lies Damn Lies and the Public Relations Industry”.

Japan and the potential hazards that is occurring today, is exactly those reasons.

From the information that I have read in the above links, we are ALL at risk, all over the world. With radiation garbage sitting above a containment facility, the potential for the radiation to explode and send radiation all over the world is quite possible.

And, if it doesn’t…

well,…

with recent hydraulic fracturing, we have increased the world’s potential for earthquakes. (Like the one in Japan). By digging thousands of feet into the earth and extracting natural gas, we are increasing the number of earthquakes and the magnitude of those earthquakes. Arkansas is a clear example.

We’re still seeing dead birds and fish all over the planet.

We’re seeing an increase in tsunamis all over the planet.

We are seeing earthquakes all over the planet.

These aren’t our grandparent’s earthquakes, dead animals, tsunamis, and so on… these are record breaking.

This could be the end.

Or, this could be the beginning. So many people are talking about 2012, and how we will need to make a choice. The continuing exploitation of our earth… the rape of our earth, our people, our everything is not life giving. We need to create a life that has celebrations, that has sustainable living, real relationships, communities, families, history, herstory, and all in between.

We need to change our thoughts and our actions. Or we will cause mass genocide to our human selves.

Hydraulic Fracturing, Earthquakes and Dead Birds

Posted in Arkansas, Environment, United States, weather, wildlife at 3:02 pm by Radical Red

There is definitely an increase of earthquakes all over the world. Arkansas, Australia, Japan.

And, the magnitude of these earthquakes are also increasing.

Dead Birds. Earthquakes. You’d think there would be someone out there trying to put it all together.

How about hydrofrakking? Hydraulic Fracturing, a term that has people up in arms all over the world. Digging deep into the earth, sucking out the last of the natural gas. Depositing thousands of unknowable toxins, carcinogens, radioactive substances, and who knows what else.

Using machines to dig deeply into the earth has been stated to cause an increase of earthquakes. The toxicity of the wastewater has been known to cause miscarriages, brain damage, skin problems, and death in humans and small farm animals. So, of course birds and fish could be included. It’s not a big leap. It’s not even hard to see that all these places have had experiences with fracking water, fracking gas, fracking death.

Now, we see the consequences of all of this on Japan. Nuclear Plants being exposed from years of using toxic energy. Not smart humans. Not smart. North America has thousands of nuclear plants. So, how about we frack it to death, killing life, and hitting the end of the world button so that all the nuclear plants can be damaged by earthquakes and create a situation of great havoc on the people. Let’s gamble and see what happens.

Solidarity with Wisconsin

Posted in Politics, Wisconsin at 11:08 pm by Radical Red

Tens of thousands of people gathered in cities all over the United States to stand in Solidarity with the state employees of Wisconsin. As the conservative party continues to attempt to repress the middle class, the middle class has decided to get up off their couches, turn their dvr’s to record fox news, and demonstrated, protesting conservative agendas to bust the unions.

But, where are all these people when the working poor are fighting for their basic rights? Where are they when other jobs are being lost, health care reform is alienating everyone?

Well, the fact of the matter, is that they are demonstrating for their own interests. Once they have their cushy jobs and enough money to buy restaurant food and watch tv, they will retire into a state of slumber once again. But, until then, there will continue to be protests. In between lunch breaks.

Wisconsin Democrats are Surprised

Posted in Politics, Wisconsin at 2:48 pm by Radical Red

Wis. Assembly passes bill taking away union rights

As I’ve mentioned before, there are serious natural consequences in the world. One of them deals with narcissists. They don’t care about other people, they experience NO SHAME or GUILT, and they are hungry for power and control.

So, why should it come as a surprise to Democrats that the Republicans have come together to strip collective bargaining and to diminish the power of unions.

This should come as no surprise. They were willing to shoot a Democratic Senate woman, intending to kill her.

Please read The Problem With Politcs for my views on this.

They say that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting the same result. Well, my friends, its time for Democrats to stop being insane, and for us to depend on them when all they do is protest, and while the other side is attempting to kill them. Protest vs. Shooting, I’ve been to enough protests in my life to know who’ll win that one.

And, understand, I recognize the need for Democratic politicians to take steps, to up the anti, so to speak. After all, it is a great thing that Democratic Senate members were able to be so committed and to stand for each other in solidarity. It’s important to the movement that they stay strong, and to keep putting the pressure on. I just think that this is too little too late.

If it takes them shooting your people for you to start protesting, what will it take for you to fight back?

New at Reform Adoption: Oregon

Posted in Oregon, reform at 3:25 am by Scarlet Moon

Hi Readers,

Here is another update of reform adoption. Today, we focus on Oregon, which is a state that has current legislation to change the state laws to help parents, and to also help people who are adopted.

Highlights of Oregon: No revocation period, supposed open adoption agreement enforceability, putative father registry, and post adoption registry with identifying information.

Reform Adoption: Oregon

I’ve added some sites in all the sections. Please feel free to comment, or make suggestions.

Jullian Assange, Radical Journalist or Rapist? My response to the Feminist Debate

Posted in California, England, Politics, Sweden at 4:18 pm by Radical Red

Democracy Now! Interview I with Jaclyn Friedman and Naomi Wolf

Democracy Now! Interview II with Jaclyn Friedman and Naomi Wolf

Guardian’s story on Julian Assange, as referenced in the interviews

Interview I.
Jaclyn Friedman gave some great points:
-A sleeping woman can not give consent
-The left tends to demonize the victim
-Men don’t realize their actions are rape
-Most rape is not reported
Response:
-Consenting to sex in the beginning does not mean consenting to all that may occur in the sexual experience

Naomi Wolf has some great points:
-Charges are not in context, as these are stated as consensual
-Sweden has not recognized rape in 23 years
-It’s about the journalists being attacked by the government
Response:
-Assange continually checked in with the women, and they continually consented. It’s not about consent.

The problem, is that both women start taking each others comments and become defensive toward each other. The discussion becomes a circle talk, going around and around and around.

As Naomi points out, if Julian is sent to Sweden, he will be extradited to the US, potentially sent to Guantanamo Bay, and held in isolated captivity just like Bradley Manning. Also, as Naomi points out, the women did not press charges, the state pressed charges against Julian Assange. They did not indicate they were not consensual, they just wanted to see if they could get Julian to take an STD test. In addition, Naomi stated that she would like people to be treated as Moral Adults. In other words, if a person is wanting sex from another person, and they indicate that they agree, that should be considered consent. Don’t say yes, in other words, unless you mean it, because most people aren’t mind readers. And, they should not be held accountable for rape, if they were told by their partner that yes, they wanted to have sex with them. She also states, which I fully believe, that Julian’s case will NOT impact other rape victims in Sweden or anywhere else in the world. Most specifically, because this is not a rape situation. The women, even at the police station, stated that it WAS consensual sex.

I would like to throw in there, though, that Rape is a very serious crime. I do believe in a just world, whether violence, rape, kidnapping, that people should be held accountable for their actions. People who rape people rarely get thrown in jail. Most are afraid of talking about it, or even bringing charges against their abuser.

In the case of Aaron Vargas, a victim of rape, shot and killed his rapist after sexual threats against his (Aaron’s) daughter. This is a clear case of injustice, as several rape victims filed charges against McNeill, the rapist, and the justice system failed completely. McNeill had raped Aaron and many others in the community when they were young children. Other victims, after receiving no justice, and after McNeill receiving No accountability for his actions, committed suicide. Many attempts were made to bring this man to justice, and Aaron needed to protect his family. In this case, I believe that killing the rapist McNeill, was an appropriate response, and that Aaron Vargas should be free. I should point out, that here again, is the state of California pressing charges against Vargas, not any individual. Even McNeill’s family are in support of Aaron Vargas and his actions.

J. Eric Fuller, Victim of Arizona Shooting

Posted in Arizona, Politics, United States at 6:02 pm by Radical Red

J. Eric Fuller states that Palin and Angle got their Target

J.Eric Fuller arrested

When J. Eric Fuller talked with Democracy Now!, he explained how he believed that Palin and other leaders in the Tea Party were using their language in order to get others to do their work for them. Not just paperwork, but in their own words, “taking out the opposition”, “reloading” and using violent force in order to take out the current leaders for the primary intention of taking over and ruling in their own way.

This military force, as well as the control of bureaucracy and systemic powers, is or will become, the next U.S. coup, and this time, it will be in our own country.

There have been NO repercussions of the leaders who have made these violent verbal attacks. There have been no responsibility nor apologies. This is part of their strategy. It’s the strategy of a psychopath.

In a world where any verbal threats against a political public official can result in immediate jail, in a world where rock bands are taken to court because of their impact on youth, and their possible actualized suicides, we let all of the leaders who have violently and physically led the way against the murder of people in Arizona, with the injury and clear intent to kill Gabrielle Giffords, a public government official, absolutely NO ACTION has been taken to protect the others left on the list, or to hold accountable the leaders who have elicited this violent reaction.

Instead, what we have done, is taken one of the VICTIMS of this tragedy, and after attempted SELF DEFENSE, as he was almost killed, gets thrown in jail for his statement, “you’re dead” to Tea Partiers. There was no indication of a plan, it was a natural response to being almost killed.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the Tea Party have had planned, intentional ways of removing their targets, through guns, shootings, and killing, by spreading this intent all over the media, indirectly recruiting vulnerable minded individuals or other psychopaths, and escaping themselves from any accountability and responsibility while they continue their coup.

This is pretty messed up.

Reform Adoption: Exposing the Infant Adoption Training Procedure

Posted in About Reform Adoption, Parenting, reform, Research at 8:21 am by Scarlet Moon

Infant adoption training is a method of providing counselors and prospective adopters with a brainwashing tool to manipulate and coerce pregnant women into relinquishing their rights.

I have posted the training in its entirety (minus videos) with my own responses and challenges to their training. This has been a very consuming project intended to educate both the public, pregnant women, and others who have been impacted by adoption of the highly coercive means they will go to in order to get a baby. This will hopefully educate people so that they will not be fooled by the pressure and tactics of the adoption industry. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions.

Dying Birds, Severe Weather and Climate Change

Posted in Brazil, Environment, weather, wildlife at 10:43 pm by Radical Red

One of the theories about the dying birds and other wildlife is connected to climate change.

There have been extreme weather conditions in the past couple of weeks that are reminiscent of the movie The Day After Tomorrow.

Here is a list of some of those weather conditions:

Brazil
Australia

Extreme Snow conditions:

Massachusetts
New Jersey
Snow in the Northeast
Seattle, Washington

Floods:
Australia and Sri Lanka
Victoria
